Kasia Nowak
Kasia has an MA in East Asian Studies from McGill University (Canada), a BA in French Studies from King’s College London (UK), and a Certificate TEFLA from the Royal Society of Arts (UK).
Ever since she can remember, she has been passionate about learning languages. She is completely fluent in English, French, Japanese, and Polish, and has a working knowledge of Norwegian. Before coming to Canada, she travelled widely and spent 20 years in Japan mastering the language, as well as teaching English to interpreters, translators, and corporate clients.
Kasia has worked as a learning experience designer, academic editor, research assistant, and freelance translator in Canada and beyond. Outside business hours, she is a card-carrying cinephile, snowboarder, and practitioner of Ashtanga yoga. She enjoys mountain climbing, holds two scuba diving licences, and is a keen photographer.
During her student days in London, she was also a chef in a trendy Covent Garden restaurant—a dash of culinary expertise in an undeniably diverse skill set.
